  • Ceramic braces have transparent or tooth coloured ties which don’t affect your beautiful smile rather gives a perfection.
  • Ceramic braces don’t stain easily if proper care and regular dental treatment is maintained.

Procedure involved for ceramic braces

On the first day of your appointment, you will be diagnosed for any dental problems following which your tooth will be cleaned and the ceramic braces will be fitted to the top and bottom of your teeth without any pain or irritation. The best suited wire will be used as per your teeth colour so that it doesn’t affect the beauty of your face. The wire is pre-refrigerated and when it is put on it gets stiffened by the heat of the mouth. Metal brackets are fitted on the top and bottom molars which is barely visible when you talk or smile.

The above process takes an hour or two at the maximum. You will be then scheduled with the next appointment which is generally after a month’s time. On the next appointment, the translucent wire will be replaced by a new one. You will be advised to have regular checkups before the removal of the ceramic braces.

How to Take Care of Ceramic Braces

Even though ceramic braces are strong and durable, you need to take proper care of these attractive wires so as to preserve them for a longer period. You are advised to follow the below mentioned caring tips:

  • You must brush your teeth twice a day to prevent the ceramic braces from staining.
  • You should avoid solid foods like popcorns, candies and other snacks which are hard to chew.
  • Its highly recommended to visit your dentist at an interval of 6 months to get your teeth cleaned professionally.
